Charles Joseph Pittinger Jr.

Charles Pittinger Jr. passed away leaving behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, music, and love. He was a man with a big heart and an easygoing spirit, someone who truly loved life and the people in it. Charles had a natural way of making others feel comfortable. Laid back and genuine, he was the kind of person people were drawn to — a good man with a tough exterior but a deeply kind heart.

He had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a story to make someone smile. Music was one of his greatest joys. From old school rap to classic rock, he loved all kinds of music and could always appreciate a good song. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors, embracing the simple pleasures of life. He especially loved his pet dog, Jasmine, who held a special place in his heart.

Charles would help others whenever he could. He cared deeply for his family, and they loved him just as fiercely in return. His presence, his laughter, and his easy spirit will be missed more than words can say.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Pittinger Sr. and Lynda Gallagher; and his sisters, Cindy Pittinger and Sharrly Dew.

He is survived by his sister, Rhonda Vallas-Quezada; his nephews, Stephen Gallagher and Tristen Gallagher; his nieces, Torie Helton, Brittney Pittinger, Kelsey Parker, and Suzanne Parker; his life partner, Deborah Soffes; and his lifelong friend of more than 30 years, Connie Jenkins Langan.

Charles will be remembered for his humor, his love of music, his loyalty, and the kindness that lived beneath his strong exterior. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
