Charles Mykel Ladner, 30, of Saucier, MS., left this world before our hearts were ready, on December 13, 2024, in McHenry, MS. Charlie, as he was lovingly known his whole life, was born on April 12, 1994, in Gulfport, MS, to his parents, Charles and Angela (Brown) Ladner. Growing up in Saucier, Charlie always had a love for the outdoors, whether it was hunting, being on the water, or being covered in mud from riding ATVs, Charlie was a true outdoorsman. He was smart, never needing to study in school, it just came naturally to Charlie. He was a family man. His wife Kammy and their son Knox, were his biggest blessings in life, and Charlie was going to hustle to make sure they never went without. He loved to buy a car or truck and detail it top to bottom then turn around and sell it for top dollar, but not before saying, "I'm not getting rid of this one". Charlie was known for his attention to detail. He never could stay still, from being an entrepreneur to putting a super-charged battery on Knox's four-wheeler, Charlie truly enjoyed every aspect of his life. His smile was unforgettable and easily got him out of any trouble he found himself in, because 'who could be mad at Charlie'. Happy-go-lucky and never sad, Charlie would find a way to cheer you up because he hated to be sad or see someone he loved sad. He was spontaneous, it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for Charlie to come home from work and load Kammy and Knox up and make a trip out of state to pick up something he found off of Facebook marketplace. No matter what was going on in the world, Charlie found a way to provide for Kammy and Knox, he was a jack of all trades, which made finding work easy, as he could do anything and if he couldn't, it would not take him long to figure it out. Not a day will go by that Charlie will not be missed, he leaves so many hearts with a void that can only be filled by the genuine love he showed those he cared for. Charlie is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Edward Ladner, Sr.; his great-grandparents, Catherine and Talmon Ladner; and his maternal grandfather, Huey P. Landry. Left to cherish his infectious smile, his loving wife and sweetheart of 14 years, Kammy Lizana Ladner and their son, Charles Knox Ladner; his parents, Charles and Angela Ladner; his only sister, Claire (Jonathan) Sykes; one brother, Taylor (Brooke Necaise) Hoda; two paternal grandmothers, Gladys Fleck and Dianne Ladner, his maternal grandmother, Olivia Landry; and his brothers-in-law, Logan Lizana and Scott Williams, "Jr". Charlie leaves a legacy of numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends. Charlie never met a stranger and those he considered a friend, he loved like family. The Ladner family would like to thank Warren Paving for their continued love and support for them all during this time. Services for Charlie will be held at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, beginning with a Visitation from 9:30-11:00 am, a Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am, followed by Interment at McHenry Gardens Cemetery.
