Charles was a father, brother, and friend to many who left this world after a brave battle with complications of dementia. He leaves behind his two daughters: Michelle (Dani) Zerbib of Westminster, CO, along with their son Mason and daughter Emerson; and Erica Catlett, living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Charles was the son of the late Juanita Marjorie (Hutchison) Catlett Whitehead and Robert Charles Catlett. He was the brother of Joyce (Ken) Brazleton of Washougal, Washington; Barbara (Barry) White of St. Joseph, Missouri; and Cecil (Peggy) McBride of Gulfport, Mississippi. Charles' served honorably in the United States Navy. After serving his country, he transitioned into the banking industry in California and Louisiana, where he was instrumental in creating the credit card division, paving the way for future financial innovations. After leaving the banking industry, Charles and his brother Cecil (Sonny) McBride ran a debt collection and records storage business for almost thirty years. Beyond his professional achievements, Charles was a classically trained pianist. In his later life, he played keyboard/piano at a few area churches and at the nursing home during his final illness, until he could no longer remember how to play his instrument. He will be forever remembered by all whose life he touched. Charles' final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. Afterward, he will be returned to his hometown of Bethany, MO and be laid to rest alongside his father. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Catlett family in their time of need and asks that everyone remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
