Charlene Gulledge was born on August 13,1958 in Albany GA. Charlene was the daughter to Floyd Eddison Allen and Mary Emily Kimble Allen. That little redheaded girl would grow up to be a blessing to all who knew her. Also known as “Red” “Charlie” and “CC”.
Chalene lost a child to a miscarriage, and she was never able to conceive again. However, she spent her entire life being a mother figure to so many. Charlene helped raise her younger siblings, and some of her many nieces and nephews. She helped take care of her parents as they aged and other family and friends during sickness and hard times.
Charlene never forgot a special date, name, or number. She could recite every address and phone number the family ever had, and being the daughter of a Marine, well there were quite a few. She was an avid reader, her favorite author Louis L’amour. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Tennessee. She made lifetime memories on family trips to places like Loretta Lynn’s ranch in Hurricane Mills TN, where everyone would enjoy the mountain scenery on horseback.
She was well known and loved by co-workers at Stuffed Shirt Garment Factory and IHOP.
Charlene was called away from this life on September 2nd, 2026 Charlene will be greeted by the loving arms of her mother Mary “Emily” Allen, her father Floyd Allen, sister Sharon Christine Rector, brothers, Roberty Atchley Sr, James E. Allen, and Kennth “Little Kenny” Allen, her 1st husband Jackie Wayne Cuevas and sister-in-law Rachel “Lynn Allen.
Charlene will continue to be loved and cherished by her husband and best friend, Ronald “Ronnie” Gulledge, who did everything possible to keep a smile on her face and glass of sweet tea in her hand! Also, left to cherish her memory are siblings, Becky Rule, George Allen and Debbie Pujol Allen, Debbie Allen Spiers and Chris Spiers, Raymond Dell Allen, and Christie Allen; along with so many adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve Charlene’s family during this difficult time and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers.
