Charlene Mary Dedeaux

Charlene Mary Northrop Dedeaux, 75, of Perkinston, MS., was welcomed with open arms by her husband, Clifton, after 18 1/2 years, Wednesday morning, June 5, 2024, at 11:16 am.  Charlene went peacefully in the comfort of her home of over 55 years, surrounded by her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. Charlene was born October 18, 1948, to her parents Freeman and Hazel (Peterson) Northrop, in their home in Lizana, MS. Charlene was the life of the party! She could easily light up and clear any room with her big smile and quick wit.  She was a character, and to know her was to love her, well, from an arm's length away at least.  She was the glue that kept their family together.  From late night adventures, crazy casino escapades, to bumming Marlboro Light 100's, Charlene was her family's rock, and she will always be their "MawMaw".  For fifty-five years, Charlene and Clifton raised their family in Perkinston and together they loved and cherished every moment spent. Charlene always showed the true love of her Savior to anyone she met.  She loved her family very much and will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved Charlene. Charlene is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Cecil Clifton Dedeaux; her parents, Freeman Northrop, and Hazel McDaniel; two sisters, Betty Moran and Annelle Ladner; two brothers, F.J. Northrop and Jeff Northrop; and one beloved grandson, Rocky C. Dedeaux. Left to cherish her memory, her children, Beth Dedeaux of Gulfport, MS, Sandra (Carl) Corley of Carrolton, GA, Tammy (Joe) Agregaard of Perkinston, MS., Bryan (Kim) Dedeaux of Perkinston, MS., Candace (Larry) Roberts of Perkinston, MS., and Gerald (Diane) Dedeaux of Berry, AL; one very special daughter in law, Shauntel Bond of Kiln, MS; and two brothers, Jesse Northrop and Charles Northrop, both of Saucier, MS. Charlene leaves a legacy of twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her very much.  Services for Charlene will be Friday, June 7, 2024, beginning at 5:00 pm for a graveside service at the Clifton Dedeaux Family Cemetery.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Dedeaux family during this time and would ask that you remember them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
