February 5, 1958 — November 6, 2022

Wiggins

Charlene Ruth Wilder, 64, passed away November 06, 2022 in Wiggins, MS. She was born on February 05, 1958 in Kansas City, KS, the second of six children to Charles and Susanne (Benz) Hicks. She grew up in several states, moving around while her father served in the military. She spent time in Kansas, Alaska, Maine, Missouri, and other places through the years. Charlene enjoyed drawing and became pretty good at it over the years. She worked as a waitress and did some retail managing in her career. She is remembered as a very caring and loving lady that enjoyed sewing, reading romance novels, and travelling. But her favorite thing was always sketching and drawing. Charlene could sit and listen to music and sketch things most all day. Among her favorites were Credence Clearwater Revival, Santana, and most of the 70s genre bands. A loving wife and mother, she will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her. Charlene was preceded by her parents, Charles Hicks and Susanne Benz, and her siblings, Debbie Benz and Chuck Benz. Left to cherish her memories are: her husband Steve Wilder; her children: Logan (Mike) McClantoc of Perkinston, Dallas (Lauren) Crouch and Zachary Crouch, both of Branson, MO; her brothers: Rick (Laura) Benz of Springfield, MO, Jack Benz of Rogersville, AR, and Ron Benz of MO. Charlene leaves a legacy of three grandchildren: Zane Crouch, Kage Crouch, and Luna Morris, along with many extended family and friends through the years. Her final wishes were to be cremated, which the family is honoring, with a celebration of her life to be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Wilder family in their time of need, and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
