Mrs. Cassie Mae Collins departed this life on February 20, 2023, at her home in Wiggins, MS. Born on February 16, 1940, to the late Sylvester Nixon and Ola Ball. Cassie loved to travel and attend sporting events. She was a longtime supporter of Stone High School sports teams and a faithful member of Stone County Wide Usher Board for over thirty years. She loved her church and church family at Shekinah Glory and New Life Church. Cassie deeply loved her family; they were her pride and joy. Left to cherish her memories are three sons, Larry (Alberta) Moore, David (Brenda) Moore, Lamont (Kenyatta) Collins, and adopted son, Desmond McDonald; three daughters, Renee (Rob) Harris, Lisa (Enright) Chandler, and Kenyetta Collins; two brothers, James Johnson and Kenneth Nixon; two sisters, Wilma Wilson and Gladys Nixon; a sister-in-law Faye Henry; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Special daughters, Sharee Gordon, Claudia Fairley, and Talaresha Willis. Special sisters, Doris Jones, Stella (Freddie) Parker, Rose (Marvin) Gillopsy, Eula (James) Jones, Oradoris Jones, Elnora Sarah Gray, Frances Jones, and two special brothers, Willie Jones and Dennis Jones. Special friends, Delores Gaines, Vanessa Hall, Akia Jackson, Linda Clark, Carmen Dennis, Avanell Nelson, Mary Ann Breland, and a host of other relatives and friends. Cassie is preceded by her husband, Willie Collins; parents, Sylvester Nixon and Ola Ball; five brothers, Jacob Henry, L.H. Nixon, Pete Nixon, Ozell Johnson, and Hardell Johnson; one sister, Ola Mae Johnson; and one special sister Thelma Jones.
