Carolyn Irene (Thorp) Raymond

On Saturday, November 5, Carolyn Irene Raymond, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away in Gulfport, MS. She was seventy-seven years of age. Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Spratley Paszle, her father, Robert Thorpe, and sister, Pat Thorpe Forehand. She is survived by one sister, Cathy Paszle Kahl, and seven children (Sylvia, Joe, Adam, Beverly, Angela, Tony, and Michael). Carolyn was lovingly known as ‘Granny’ to 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great, great-grandson.  Carolyn dedicated her life to her family and friends, striving to be ever-present in their lives. She loved shopping the aisles of the grocery store, but she may have loved cooking more. All who visited Granny were prepared for a full kitchen of heartwarming southern cuisine. Her quick wit and attitude will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of spending time with her.
