Carolyn Ann Hobbs

Carolyn Ann Hobbs, 73, of Saucier, MS., passed away on February 19, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Saucier. Carolyn was born on February 1, 1953, to her parents, James Ervan and Carolyn Viola (Jones) Ayers, in Mississippi.  

Carolyn was a faithful Christian woman, who loved God.  After her husband passed, she met the love of her life, Carl Taylor, and for twenty-five years they lived a simple life, full of love and laughter.  Together, they bought land and established a homestead, where they grew and raised their own food for many many years, only needing the grocery store to buy meat.  Carolyn enjoyed jarring and canning, especially her figs and blueberries.  She loved tending and loving her animals, especially her birds and chickens, who always provided Carolyn with fresh yard eggs. Carolyn's little pup, Molly, was her four-legged baby, and she followed Carolyn everywhere.  On the weekends, Carolyn enjoyed fishing for flounder and spending time with friends and family.  Carolyn's life was good, and it was simple.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Carolyn is survived by, her companion of twenty-five years, Mr. Carl Taylor; two daughters, Crystal Freed and Carrie Freed; one son, Ronald Freed; and two sisters, Pam Phillips and Kim Osbound.  Carolyn's wishes were to be cremated and her family is honoring those wishes.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Hobbs family during this time and we ask that you remember Mr. Carl and their families over the difficult days ahead.
