Carol Ann McCreedy, aged 85, passed away on October 14, 2023, in Gulfport, MS. She was born on September 13, 1938, in Saucier, MS to the late Frank and Katie Edwards.

Carol Ann's journey through life was a beautiful tale of love and companionship that began in the hallowed halls of the Perkinston Campus, now known as Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. It was there, that Carol Ann met the love of her life, William “Bill.” Fate had it that she would ask him to be her lab partner, a simple request that would set the stage for a remarkable love story spanning over six decades. Their partnership in the laboratory was a precursor to a lifelong adventure as husband and wife, a journey marked by love, devotion, and shared dreams.

As Bill pursued his distinguished career in the United States Navy, Carol Ann stood steadfastly by his side, a proud and supportive wife. Through the challenges and triumphs of military life, their bond only grew stronger, a testament to the depth of their love and commitment to one another. Carol Ann was more than a supportive wife; she was the anchor of their family, a nurturing and caring mother who poured endless love into her children. Beyond the roles of wife and mother, Carol Ann was a beacon of knowledge and compassion in the realm of education. She dedicated many years to teaching, leaving an indelible mark on countless students within the education systems of Louisiana and Mississippi. Her impact was not only felt in the classroom but also in the hearts of those she inspired with her wisdom, kindness, and patience. In every facet of her life, Carol Ann embodied warmth, generosity, and an open-hearted spirit. She had an extraordinary ability to forge lasting friendships, and anyone who had the privilege of meeting her found a friend for life. Her compassion knew no bounds, and her thoughtfulness touched the lives of all who were fortunate to know her. Carol Ann will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and boundless friendship will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
