Mr. Brett Donald Martin

Brett Donald Martin, 59 of Ocean Springs, passed away March 9th at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. Brett was born August 4, 1959 in Brownsville, TX, one of six children to Roy W. and Joyce Irene (MacDonald) Martin, Sr. He grew up in several places, while his father served in the US Air Force. Brett came up in the 60s & 70s, and enjoyed classic rock music, going to the beach, and animals. He was preceded by his parents, Roy & Joyce Martin, Sr. Left to cherish his memories are: his two beautiful daughters, Catherine (Clayton) Weeks of Fayetteville, NC, and Virginia (Zach) Schmidt of Evans, CO; three grandkids: Loki Saga Q, Uller Hod Q, and Hoenir Eir Q Weeks, all of Fayetteville; his siblings: one sister, Virginia (Tony) Kramer, and brothers Roy Jr. (Cirita), Danny, Rodney, and Sean Martin, along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Catherine and Virginia have created a Go Fund Me memorial page to help cover the memorial expenses, as this was a much-unexpected event that no one was prepared for. Dad - all I can say is that this one took me by surprise and I wish we had been closer, but you will be greatly missed. My most cherished memories of you were when we played Frisbee in the yard when I was a very young girl. You will always be in my heart ~ Virginia Schmidt. Dad - I know that life was hard, you tried your best and I am who I am because you should me how to be caring even when everything wasn't so good. Thank you for being the best you knew how. I will always remember our talks on the swings. - Catherine Weeks. A memorial service has been set for Saturday April 13th, 2019 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. All whos life he touched are welcome to attend.
