Brenda Carol (Cuevas) Peterson

Brenda Peterson, 68 of the Kiln, passed away Sunday July 7, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 30, 1956, the daughter of Harten and Treselee (Rester) Cuevas. She married William "Bill" Peterson in 1978 and they established their home there in the Kiln. Brenda loved her family, and will be forever remembered by all whose lives she touched. She is fondly remembered as a selfless woman, a loving mother and wife, a nurturing grandmother, and a devoted friend. She was preceded by her husband, Bill; parents Harten and Treselee Cuevas; her brother Wilborn Cuevas and her sister, Patricia Ann Martin; and her grandson, Adam Ray Peterson. Left to cherish her memories are: her two children, son Marlon (Melissa) Peterson, and daughter, Stephanie (Ben) Steiner; her sister Tressie Carco and sister-in-law, Sandra Cuevas. Brenda leaves a legacy of four grandchildren: Leanna and Brennen Steiner, and twins Makenzie and Makayla Peterson, along with numerous family, friends, and neighbors throughout the years. Services will be held at the Peterson home 25206 Albert Cuevas Road, Kiln, MS. The wake will begin on Wednesday July 10th at 5 pm, and will continue until the funeral service begins Thursday morning, July 11th at 11 AM with Pastor Oren Spence Sr. officiating. Following the service, Brenda will be laid to rest in the Peterson Family Cemetery on their property.
