Brandon Neal Bodie

March 12, 1986 — February 26, 2020

Long Beach, MS

Brandon Neal Bodie, 33 and formerly of McHenry, died tragically Wednesday morning in Long Beach. He was born March 12, 1986 in Hattiesburg, the son of Larry & Rhonda (Loper) Bodie. He grew up in McHenry, loving to hunt, fish, and ride 4 wheelers. He was an active and outgoing young man that always wore his cowboy boots growing up...with any clothes he happened to be wearing. Short pants or whatever, Brandon had those cowboy boots on. He enjoyed hanging out and working with his grandfather so much that everyone called him "T.J.", which is short for "Tub Jr.". He learned a lot from him and did landscaping and yard work in life. He attended and was baptized at Unity Baptist Church in McHenry as a young man. Brandon met Melesa while they were in school, developing a friendship that lasted through the years. Both had other relationships, but started dating a few years ago. They enjoyed life together, taking their kids fishing, bowling as they spent time with them. Brandon loved his girls, Melesa's and their other nieces and nephews, treating all of them as his own children. He was always happy and smiling, enjoyed cooking and listening to his music. A loving son, father, uncle and fiancé, Brandon will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his father, Larry Neal Bodie; his granny, Charlotte Reeves, and his close friend Jimbo White. Left to cherish his memories are: his children: Tristin Bodie of Lizana, Lexleigh and Adrianna Bodie of Long Beach, and Macie and Adaleigh Bodie of Perk; his mother, Rhonda Bodie; siblings Jeana Bodie of McHenry and Destiny Hickman of Perk; grandparents Leroy "Tub" & Jean Loper, and his aunt Robin (Jimmy) Bell, all of McHenry; cousins Chasity Fore and Eddie & Clay Bell, his nephew Ryder Hickman and his niece Lala Hickman, along with numerous additional extended family and friends. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A memorial service for Brandon will be set at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bodie family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
