Gulfport

Bradley Gray Bowman, 62 of Gulfport, passed away Monday afternoon, June 7th at his home. He was born May 15, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to Keith Gray and Dorothy (Bennett) Bowman. Brad was the third of what would be ten children in all and grew up in South Mississippi, from Picayune to Gulfport and a few places in between. He enjoyed playing sports, mostly baseball and basketball, but he really liked music and dancing. Brad was the outgoing, boisterous type that woke the room up when he walked in. He was by all accounts, the life of the party. After graduating from Harrison Central in the late 70s, Brad began a career that would take him many places. He worked for TG&Y stores, travelling all over setting up the new ones being built. Later he worked for Hancock Bank for a while, then got into the car business, working in the service department for Pat Peck, Astro Ford, Holmes Motors and more. Most recently, he worked for Tetra Tech, supervising crews doing disaster and catastrophe cleanup and restoration, spending a lot of time in California prior to covid. Brad is lovingly remembered as having a great personality. He was outgoing, had a great sense of humor and was always stirring the pot, just to get a good laugh. He always knew just what buttons to push to get you going, then like to sit back and enjoy his handiwork. There was never a dull moment when Brad was around. He continued to enjoy music and dancing, going to the casinos and cookouts with family and friends. When he wasn't doing that or at work, you could probably find him on the golf course. A man of many talents, he will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Brad was preceded by his father, Keith Gray Bowman and an infant sister, Terry. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of the past 14 years, Jill; his three children: Tristan (Rich) Andrews of Chicago, IL, Connor Bowman of Biloxi and Brycen Bowman of Gulfport; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy (Joe) Pekinto of Kiln; sisters Karla Fontelle of Kiln, Betty (Chris) Brown of TX and Terri (Steve) Uppfalt of Indianapolis, IN, with brothers Gary (Pat) Bowman of Saucier, Darren (Marlene) Bowman and Kurt (Sheri) Helman, both of Picayune, and Kristen (Sandra) Helman of Biloxi; two grandchildren, Zachary and Kayla Andrews, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends all over. Brad's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring and will hold a celebration gathering in his honor at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bowman family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them lifted up in your prayers during this trying time.
