Bonita “Bonnie” Oberg Necaise 69, of Long Beach, MS passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on March 5th, 2025. Bonnie was born on February 29th, 1956, during a leap year, which resulted in her having only 17 true birthdays. In 1965, Bonnie and her family moved to Long Beach, MS where she then graduated from Long Beach High School class of 1974. Bonnie married her lifelong love Eugene Necaise on August 3,1974. Bonnie worked in the Long Beach School System within the elementary and high school. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to any one she met.
Bonnie was a courageous and resilient woman who was a survivor of both breast cancer and lymphoma. She fought with unwavering strength, grace and dignity until the end. Bonnie had an assertion for worrying about everyone in her life, so they didn’t have to. She loved spending time outside on her porch swing with her husband and dogs. She was a lover of plants, flowers and animals. Life was always interesting and never boring with Bonnie. She brought the life and love to all those that surrounded her. One of her favorite pastimes was creating memories with family and friends. During the last year, she found true joy in reconnecting with high school friends. Some of her passions and aspirations were enjoying life on her own terms, being strong willed with her beliefs, laughing/ joking, telling stories, reading, shopping and collecting trinkets. But most importantly Bonnie loved her husband, children, grandchildren and bonus children with her entire heart.
She is preceded in death by her father Perry Oberg, and brother Darrin Oberg. Left to cherish her beautiful memories are her loving and devoted husband Eugene Necaise of 50 years; her children Brandi Necaise (Brian Northrop), Brandon Necaise (Brittany Necaise– her favorite DIL); her grandchildren Hunter Ratcliff, Dylan Ratcliff, Riley Necaise, Emma Ladner, Macy Necaise, Alyssa Northrop King (Philip) and Austin Northrop (Brittany); her great granddaughter Baylor Grace Lawhon; her mother June Oberg; brother Kendall Oberg; her best friend Cindie Holland; numerous brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved with all of her heart.
