Bobbie D. Plaisance

Bobbie D. Plaisance departed this life on January 8, 2024, in Slidell, LA, after a life rich with laughter and love. Born on October 27, 1952, in Birmingham, AL, Bobbie was the embodiment of resilience and determination. Bobbie was a hardworking individual who single-handedly raised four children, working diligently at two jobs to provide for her family. She then would go on to meet the love of her life Thomas Plaisance. Bobbie, a cherished soul, never missed a chance to enjoy life, whether it was fishing with her husband, participating in the excitement at bingo, the casino, or reveling in the vibrant Mardi Gras parades. Her love for her family and friends knew no bounds; Bobbie was always the first to offer help or a dollar in times of need. She could give you advice that seemed to cover just about everything. A proud Alabama native, Bobbie's passion for Alabama football was evident, never missing a game broadcasted on TV. Her legacy of love, strength, and spirited advice will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her. She is preceded by her mother Daisy May Shirly; her son Michael Brandon Mcgowan; her grandson Brandon Eugene Mcgowan. Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 35 years Thomas Plaisance; her children Sandy, Robbie, and Charles McGowan; granddaughter Aleiaha Bell; grandsons Bryan Plaisance, Troy, and Scottie McGowan; great-grandchildren Kaleo Bell and Saylor May Klees; Larry Pontiff and all family and friends that had the chance to meet her.
