New Augusta

Billy Joe Buse, a cherished family man and a respected mechanic, graced this world with his presence on March 6, 1971, in the warm-hearted city of Hattiesburg, MS. With a life as rich as the history of his beloved hometown, Billy peacefully took his last breath on July 21, 2024, in the same city where his story began. Hattiesburg High School was where Billy laid his educational foundation, which was further solidified by obtaining a welding certification, charting the course for his diligent career. He proudly served the community as a mechanic, dedicating 27 years to Auto Armature while always finding time to fix a friend's car as well. Billy's industrious hands, coupled with a heart of gold, made him a beacon of reliability in his neighborhood and among those who knew him. An avid fisherman, Billy sought solace at the lake's edge, rod in hand. Yet his grandest catch was always the time spent with his "shadow," Michael, working on cars and imparting wisdom. His grandchildren were his heart's delight, and he showered them with love in abundance. He is preceded by his parents Jerry Wayne Buse and Carolyn Franklin; his uncle Terry(Chubby) Buse; his best-friend Michael Chambliss who is in heaven with him; Billy's life was anchored by his deep love for his family. He reveled in the joys of matrimony alongside his wife of 20 years, Karen Buse. Together, they raised a beautiful and vibrant family, including their children BJ, Katie, Colby (married to Libby) Buse, Amanda Madden, and Rocky Davis. Billy's legacy continues through the twinkling eyes of his grandchildren Brianne Smith, Katrina Buse, Bethany Madden, Averi Buse, Millie Buse, Michael Robine, Kasey Robine, and Ivan Robine. His was a home filled with laughter and life lessons, a sanctuary for his loved ones. As we bid farewell to Billy Joe Buse, we remember a man who was a beloved husband, a devoted father, a doting grandfather, and a friend to many. His warm smile and generous spirit will forever be etched in the memories of those he touched.
