Beverly Jean Ann (Warfield) Creed

Beverly Jean Ann Creed, 78 of Biloxi, passed away October 23, 2022 at Merit Health in Biloxi. She was born December 20, 1943 in Gulfport, one of three children and the only daughter to Earnest, Sr. and Irene (Picheu) Warfield. Beverly grew up in Gulfport and attended St. John High School. She was married shortly after high school and made her home in Gulfport. Beverly worked some, mostly in housekeeping for local hotels, but her primary focus was taking care of her son. She is remembered as the ultimate "yard saler". Beverly absolutely loved to go to yard sales, usually starting around 4 AM or so. She was known for being a bit frugal, ever searching for the next "deal" in yards all along the coast. When she wasn't out visiting yard sales, Beverly was always on the go visiting one of her grandchildren. She loved her grands, and would do anything for them. In fact, she preferred them home with her rather than in school where they were supposed to be! In her spare time, if you could even call it that, she enjoyed playing bingo at the VFW. The only thing that topped any of the things she was doing...was her soap operas! No matter what, Beverly was going to be home in time for All My Children and General Hospital. She was jovial and loved to laugh, having a unique laugh that will be remembered for years to come. A loving mother and grandmother, Beverly will be sadly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her parents, her mother Irene Kelly, and her father Earnest Warfield, Sr., along with both her brothers, John and Earnest Warfield, Jr., and her only son, Elbert Gipson. Left to cherish her memories are her grandchildren, Shawn (Trixia) Gipson of Biloxi, MS, Justin (Alie) Gipson of Saucier, and Savannah Gipson of Gulfport, along with her daughter-in-law, Veronica Gipson, also of Saucier; great grandchildren, Jassy, Maverick, Paisley, Cassandra, Gabriella, Anastasha, and Charley.  Beverly also leaves many extended family, friends, and untold folks she met at yard sales over the years. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday morning, October 27th in Finley Cemetery in Gulfport.
