Betty Jean Meyer

Betty Jean (Galloway) Meyer, age 68, passed away on April 9, 2020. She was born to Mason and Margaret (Davis) Galloway on December 20, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 infant siblings and brother in law, Rick Beasley. Betty leaves behind her much loved family; best friend and husband of 37 years, Jerry Meyer; daughter, Jessica Meyer; brothers, James, Jackie (Sherry), Donald (Renee) and Billy Galloway; sister, Debra Beasley along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Betty grew up in Cuba, AL. Being the oldest of six, she was the mother hen watching out for everyone. She was always active in church and enjoyed singing in the choir. Betty loved going to school and had a thirst for knowledge. She dedicated many hours to making Project Graduation in Tucson, AZ a success. Betty worked very hard all of her life and made a difference in the lives of many. She chose to see the best in everyone. In her professional life, she was a real estate agent for 43 years. But knowing and loving each person in her life was truly her success story. Remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love of life, family and friends. In lieu of flowers consider making a donation to your charity of choice to help keep Betty’s dream of helping others alive.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Betty.
