Bertie Faye (Cameron) Necaise, 80 of the Kiln, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, March 13th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was one of five children to Ramsey Patrick and Evelyn (Malley) Cameron, born March 2, 1943 in Hancock county. She grew up in, and has been a long time resident of the Dedeaux community. Bertie worked with Regina (vacuum) factory and became a home-maker later in life. She was a hard working, devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be forever missed by all whose life she touched. Bertie was preceded by her parents, Ramsey P. and Evelyn Cameron; her brother, Ramsey Cameron Jr. and her sister, June Evelyn Swilley. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband and soul mate of 60 years, Willie Necaise Jr.; her children, Rhonda Gayle Harmon Ladner (Keith), Tangela Perez (Mark), and Lynnie Necaise; with her two brothers: W.J Cameron (Freda) and C.J Cameron (Barbara Ann). Bertie leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren: Bryttni Mitchell (Lance), Brynae Necaise (Keith), Colton Harmon (Devan), Meghan Peterson (Josh), Cameron Seal (Danielle), Emily Smith, and Mason Necaise, eighteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. Services are set for Thursday, March 16th at St. Matthew Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral mass at 1:00, with Fr. Emmanuel Subaar officiating. Afterward, Bertie will be laid to rest in the Standard-Sandhill Cemetery.
