Belinda Cheryl Stewart passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on October 10, 2026. She was born on December 29, 1961, in Mississippi, and was raised in Little Rock, Mississippi. Her life was marked by deep faith, steadfast love for her family, and a calling to care for others.
Belinda devoted 45 years to nursing, a profession she carried out with compassion and remarkable dedication. She spent 25 years as a traveling nurse, bringing her skill and caring spirit wherever she was needed. In her younger years, she especially enjoyed working in the NICU, where her gentle heart and steady presence touched some of life’s most tender moments. She was, in every sense, a great nurse.
Beyond her work, Belinda was a loving mother and a cherished Mimi and MeeMoo. Her faith defined her life. She loved the Lord and lived as a very devoted Christian, offering love, strength, and encouragement to those around her. She also loved animals, and that kindness was simply another reflection of her generous heart.
Of all the blessings in her life, Belinda was proudest of her children and grandchildren. She always prioritized her children, and she would go without for her children and grandchildren. That selfless love will remain one of the clearest and most enduring gifts she leaves behind.
Belinda is survived by her children, Jason Reed and his wife Ashley, Justin Stewart and his wife Leana, and Lauren Stewart. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Ainsley Reed, Sawyer Stewart, Brayden Stewart, Madison Dearing, Jackson Dearing, and Harris Pearson, each of whom brought her great joy. She is also survived by her brother, Scott Watkins and his wife Tara.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Watkins, and her mother, Helen Watkins.
A memorial service will be held on October 15, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Trinity Funeral Services McHenry, 319 U.S. 49, McHenry, Mississippi 39561.
Belinda Cheryl Stewart will be remembered for her faithful heart, her life of service, and the unwavering love she gave to her family. Her memory will live on in all who were blessed by her care, her devotion, and her love.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Stewart family and ask that you keep them in your thoughts in prayers in the days to come.
