Barbara Earl Lachaussee

With great sadness the family of Barbara Earl Lachaussee announces her passing after an extended illness, on May 9, 2020, at the age of 72 years.  Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Jerome, and their daughters, Roxanne [Ken] Barnett and Melanie [Mark] Velazquez.  She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Dalton, Elijah, Madison, Mark and Mackenna.  She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence Earl and Olga Brewer, her sister Abigail, and is survived by her sisters Bennie and Naomi, her brother Michael, and a host of other relatives.  Barbara attended Jones County Junior College in Laurel and USM in Hattiesburg.  She retired as a store manager in Jacksonville, Fla., in 2001.  She delighted her family with her gardening talent and her cooking.  She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Wiggins.  A devoted Christian, she inspired all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, May 15 from 11 am to 1 pm at Trinity Funeral Services located at 319 Highway 49 South, McHenry, MS 39561 with funeral services at 1 pm.  Interment will be at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula with Fr. Michael Marascalco presiding. Every effort will be made to adhere to the current social distancing guidelines and those attending are asked to take proper precautions.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at St. Francis Xavier Church in Wiggins.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Wiggins, MS. Skinner's Florist is entrusted for floral arrangements.
