Barbara Lynn (Drennan) Lee

Barbara Lee, age 70, of Perkinston, MS., passed away on May 4, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born on June 05, 1954, to her parents, Luther and Idell (Bounds) Drennan. Barbara was a loyal, old-fashioned woman with a giving heart and a strong spirit. She loved people deeply and without hesitation, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Barbara was a devoted mother and grandmother who believed in hard work, honesty, and speaking her mind. People always knew where they stood with her. She had a quiet strength, a laid-back nature, and a love for the simple joys in life—feeding the birds and squirrels, spending time outdoors, and enjoying a good laugh. On the third of every month, you would find Barbara shopping, just the way she liked it.  She adored her dog, never passed up a trip to the casino, and always made time for fun. Barbara was soft spoken but full of life, deeply loyal, and lived by her own rules. She loved her family to the moon and back—and we'll love and miss her just the same. Barbara is preceded in death by her loving parents, Luther and Idell Drennan, and one brother, Johnny Drennan. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jessica Shaw and Michael (Tosha) Lee; her siblings, Freddy (Glinda) Drennan, and Arthur Drennan; and her grandchildren, Hunter Lee, Hana Lee, Kelsie Delancey, Jarad Delancey, and Rocky Delancey. Barbara leaves a legacy of numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of beloved extended family and friends whom she loved immensely.
