Mr. Arthur Wesley Flethcer, Jr., 45 of Perkinston, passed away unexpectedly early this morning in Wiggins. Wes was the baby of three children to Arthur W. & Mary Jane Fletcher, Sr. He was born March 15, 1973 in Biloxi, and grew up there as well, enjoying hunting and dirt track racing after his dad. With two older sisters, Betty & Andrea, Wes often found himself in some predicaments, as he attempted to get the best of them. After school, he worked in the woods with his dad, logging and pulpwooding for a while. He was always good with his hands, building and repairing things, and eventually made a career as a carpenter. Wes is remembered by his sisters as a caring, but somewhat annoying little brother who never really wanted to grow up. A jovial spirit that loved to laugh, Wes was a hard-working man, a loving father, grandfather, and friend, and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents, Arthur W. & Mary Jane Fletcher, Jr. Left to cherish his memories are his children: daughters Gidgett Atwell and Courtney Derosier; sons Brett Fletcher, Matthew Fletcher, and twins Ethan & Evan Fletcher; his siblings: Betty (Aaron) Williams of Saucier, and Andrea Clark of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Conner, Dakota, and Maslynn Atwell, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Fletcher family in their time of need, and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
