Ardy Faye Carr

Ardy Faye (Williamson) Carr passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Jackson, MS, at the age of 76. Born on September 26, 1949, in Mississippi to her parents, Hardy and Inez (Bell) Williamson, Ardy spent her entire life in the city that shaped her gentle spirit and enduring warmth.

Ardy pursued her passions wholeheartedly. Known for her talent in the kitchen, she was a wonderful cook who delighted in discovering new recipes. Her enthusiasm for culinary arts extended far beyond preparing meals. She loved reading cookbooks, gleaning inspiration from them, and her beloved cooking shows. When Ardy wasn't working out a recipe, she could often be found absorbed in crossword puzzles or relaxing with her favorite television programs, especially “Wheel of Fortune”.

Ardy Faye Carr will be remembered for the warmth she shared, her commitment to family and friends, and the simple joys she cherished. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will remain a guiding light.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hardy and Inez (Bell) Williamson; her cherished husband, Danny Carr; her devoted daughter, Michelle Wall; her brothers, Melvin and Charles Williamson; and Bubba, her four-legged pal who held a special place in her heart.

Left to cherish Ardy's life, her daughter, Kellye Wall; two granddaughters, Shelby Etheridge and Tabitha Etheridge; a legacy of five great-grandchildren, Evan, Alyson, John, Sofia, and Gabriela; one sister, Wanda Dale Turbeville; and one brother, Elton Williamson.
