Antionette (Marinello) Morgan

February 12, 1956 — February 5, 2025

Gulfport

Antionette Morgan, 68, passed away on February 05, 2025 at her home in Gulfport. She was born on February 12, 1956 in Albuquerque, NM, eventually part of a family of eleven children and the oldest daughter, born to parents Anthony and Vernell (Davis) Marinello. She grew up between Indiana and Michigan, where she enjoyed the outdoors, ran track in school, and enjoyed camping and going the river with her family and friends. Toni, as she was affectionately known to those who knew her, graduated from Saranac High School in Michigan, a member of the Redskin Class of 1975. She started her family at an early age while working for Michigan City and attending school at the same time, to realize her dream of becoming a paralegal. Toni moved to South MS in the early 90s, where she promptly completed her education, earning her BS degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Toni enjoyed her career helping others, working as a paralegal for many years. She is remembered as a loving and devoted daughter, sister, and mother who absolutely adored her grandbabies. Toni converted to Catholicism and became a member of the Masonic Lodge in the early 90s as well. When she wasn't working, she tinkered with ceramics, crocheted a bit, and going to happy hour with her sister just for the fun of it. She was very disciplined with a self-imposed strict limit of just one drink, after which she always headed back home. But all of those things were secondary to those grandbabies, which Toni literally lived for. There was simply nothing off limits when it came to them and Toni did her absolute best to spoil them all rotten. Since 2019, Toni had battled breast cancer, initially given just a few months when diagnosed. Her grit and determination kept her here with her family over six years, until the Lord called her to His loving arms for a well-deserved eternal rest. Her memories will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her. Toni was preceded by her parents, Anthony Marinello and Vernell Lamb; siblings Lorraine Dawson, Dennis Chapman, and Wallace Chapman, with her brother-in-law Chuck Dawson and her sister-in-law, Kim Chapman. Holding her memories in their hearts are: her two children, son David Morgan of Gulfport, and daughter Angie Morgan, also of South MS; her siblings: sisters Jean (John) Runciman of Chesnee, SC, Mary (Jeff) Judd of Marietta, SC, and Mildred Brown of Theodore, AL, with brothers Frank (Rose) Chapman of Dixon, MO and Tony and Chris Marinello, both of Alburquerque, NM. Toni leaves a legacy of five grandbabies: Christopher, Joel, and Madellyn Morgan, Nicholas Papp, and Gabriel Spradley, all of Gulfport, along with numerous extended family and friends. Toni's final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A memorial service in her honor will be planned and set for a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Morgan family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
