Anthony Ray Swan, 65 of Milton, FL, passed away Sunday at the Biloxi VA. He was born August 23, 1954 in Illinois, the son and third of five children to Max R. & Beverly J. (Holevolt) Swan. Tony, as he was known by those closest to him, grew up in Phoenix and loved to fish and hunt. He sister recalls him as a "stinker", but an easy going guy that loved the outdoors. He attended the Arizona Boys Ranch, and after school joined the United States Air Force as a member of the Security Police. Tony served in the mid 70s and was stationed in Guam for a while. After his discharge, he went to school and obtained his Associates Degree to become a physical therapist's assistant. Tony spent a few years in that profession, but his love for the outdoors overcame and he became a plumbing contractor. He loved the Western US, spending most of his life in Arizona, but also in MT, CO, and CA. A loving brother with a sweet heart, Tony remained a "stinker" through life. He loved fishing and enjoyed having a beer to boot. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his father, Max Ray Swan. Left to cherish his memories are: two sons, Jason Swann of New River, AZ and Nicholas Keen of London, England; his mother Beverly Swan of Phoenix, siblings Linda Swan of Rio Rico, AZ, D.J. Williams of Milton, FL, Joe (Shelly) Swan of Glendale, AZ, and Margo Milburn of Tucson, AZ. He leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren, along with numerous extended family, friends and neighbors through the years. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Swan family in their time of need. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
