Mrs. Annelle M. Saucier, 68, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday evening in Columbia. She was born June 16, 1950, one of two children to Robert & Emma Louise (Hill) McDaniel, and spent her life in her hometown of Columbia. She was a gifted young lady in many ways, and excelled playing the organ and piano by ear. Annelle graduated from COlumbia High School, a member of the Class of 1968, and attended PRCC where she earned her degree as an LPN. She worked as a nurse and pre-school teacher, but her true career was raising her children and caring for her family. She was an excellent cook, loved to bake, and also had a green thumb. Annelle was a Christian that loved to read her Bible and other Christian books. Her hobbies included drawing, calligraphy, discovering more of her family genealogy. Annelle is remembered as a loving, devoted, and talented mother. Inspirational, creative, and selfless are just a few of the many words used to describe her. Her loving husband of 34 years says he could have looked the world over, and not found a more dedicated, loving wife and mother for their kids. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded by her parents, Robert & Emma Louise McDaniel. Left to cherish her memories are: her husband, Raymond Saucier; her children: daughters Brandi (Joseph) Pope of Foxworth, and Allison Saucier of Hattiesburg, and a son, Jarod (Leslie) Saucier of Madison; her brother, Robert (Sherry) McDaniel of COlumbia; grandchildren: Victoria, Alexis, and Isaac Singley, and Sadie, Emma, and Aodhan Pope; nieces Shannon Roberts, Robin Terry, Kristyn Bumpers, Tiffany McCardle, and Alissa Smith, along with numerous friends and neighbors. Graveside services will be at 4 PM Tuesday afternoon, at the John Ford Cemetery in Columbia. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to your favorite charity, or to the Alzheimers Foundation. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Saucier family, and asks everyone to keep Mr. Raymond and the family in their thoughts and prayers.
