Picayune

Anita Richelle Moody, a spirited and multifaceted soul, took her final bow on February 9, 2024, in Picayune, MS. Born on October 20, 1960, in Kenner, LA, Anita lived her life with a penchant for diverse hobbies. An avid gardener, she found peace and joy in the blooms and the bees, her hands often deep in the earth, nurturing life. Her competitive streak shone through in her love for playing pool, where she fostered camaraderie and sportsmanship. Anita's creativity was boundless, evident in her exquisite sewing projects, and unique crafts that brought beauty into the world. Her soulful voice would often be heard singing a tune, bringing smiles to those around her, and she danced through life, her steps doing the jig becoming a trademark of her joyous character. Riding motorcycles was more than a hobby; it was an expression of her freedom, and a testament to her adventurous spirit. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, but shes jigging in heaven with her daughter and her momma. Anita is preceded by her daughter Brandi Hawkins(Laurent), her sister Denise, her mother Francis, and her brother Leslie. She is survived by her children Jayson, Jessica, and Pattrick; her grandchildren Taylor, Bailee, Peyton, AJ, and Logan. Friends and family will be received at a later date to be announced. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Moody family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
