Anita Lajuan McClinton, 56, passed away on July 29, 2022 at home in Lumberton, MS. Anita was born on February 23, 1966 in El Darado, Arkansas to parents James and Margaret Cobbs. Anita was like her mother, she was the matriarch of her family. She was very kind and wise, and she was always there to support her loved ones. Anita loved spending time with her family and the love she gave her children and grandchildren can never be replaced. She was also a New Orleans Saints fan that enjoyed listening to music and watching the cooking channel. Her great personality and love for others will forever be missed. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Anita is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rodney McClinton; loving father; James Cobbs II; and brother, Carlos Cobbs. She is survived by her loving mother, Margaret Cobbs-Husband; children, William Smith Jr. of Chalmette, LA, Adrian Marsalis of Lumberton, MS, Alexis Magee of Gulfport, MS and Rodney Cobbs of Lumberton, MS; special friend, Mark Gray; sisters, Angela Cobbs, Shana Cobbs, and Sherry Cobbs; brother, Anthony Banks; grandchildren, Tanija Smith, Zykira Smith, Ky'ree Cobbs, Jayden Marsalis, Makiyah Marsalis, Bryston Magee, Sariah Andrew, and two grandchildren on the way, William Anthony Smith III and Autumn Magee. Anita is also survived by her nephew, Keith Cobbs and two nieces, Michelle Cobbs and Kimberly Cobbs.
