Allen Dwayne May

Allen Dwayne May, 58 and lifelong resident of Yazoo, MS, passed away last week. He was born May 21, 1962 in Vicksburg, the oldest of two boys to Teddy Marks and Alice Florene (Hagan) May, and grew up in Yazoo county on a small family farm. Dwayne was the outdoors type from the start, which fit right in with being on a farm. He was active and outgoing, playing sports and enjoying being outside. From an early age, Dwayne was creative and very talented. He loved to draw and learned to play the guitar, both of which he was very good at as well. After high school, he attended Jr. College for a bit before going to work in the oil field and doing some commercial driving as well, but he always dreamed of being a world traveler and artist. Dwayne loved his kids and grandchildren, as well as researching his Indian heritage. He did have his struggles in life, but his love for his family showed through it all. A Christian by faith, he was happiest just being outdoors, enjoying God's creation whenever possible. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents, Teddy and Alice May. Left to cherish his memories are: his daughters, Lori (Dallas) Hearts and Phoenix Sullivan, both of Yazoo; his brother Randy (Joy) May of Bolton; his only grandson, Noah Hearst and four nephews: Chris (Amber) May, Abbie (Tammy) May, Wayne and Wayland Talor, along with numerous extended family and friends. His final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the May family in their time of need.
