Allen Dale Lee, a steadfast pillar of the Silver Run community, fondly known as Dale by his loved ones, was called to his eternal home on July 16, 2024, in Perkinston, Ms. Born on the fifth of April in 1954, in the quaint town of Leetown, Ms, Dale's journey through life was a testament to the values of faith, family, and hard work. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Lee; his mother, Ina Smith; his brother, Charles Smith; and his sisters, Brenda Jo and Clara Lee. His spirit is carried on by his cherished son, Michael (Tosha) Lee; his beloved daughter, Jessica Delancy; his brothers, James, Jeff, Jesse, Norman, Thurman, Ostez; his sisters, Evelyn and Ruby; and his six grandchildren, along with a host of "babies" whose names are too numerous to list but not forgotten in his heart. Dale began his professional life following the path of his brother, wielding the hammer and nails of a carpenter until the age of 27. He then ventured into the oilfields, where he dedicated his efforts until his well-deserved retirement. A man of many talents, Dale's hands were as skilled in crafting wood as they were in nurturing the land and the lives of those around him. His love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. Dale found peace in the embrace of nature while hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him closer to the Creator he so faithfully served. A devoted member of the Silver Run Baptist Church, Dale's commitment to his faith was unwavering. He served his church with the same selflessness that he applied to every aspect of his life. A wise man, Dale's counsel was often sought and his words carried the weight of experience and faith. He embodied the spirit of selflessness, always placing the needs of others above his own. His faith-filled life was a beacon of hope and strength to his family, his church, and his community. We gather not in sorrow, but in celebration of a life well-lived, a course well-run, and a faith well-kept. Dale's story does not end at the setting of his earthly sun, for his legacy continues to shine brightly in the lives of those he touched. He was a man who lived by example, who loved without reservation, and whose faith was as solid as the ground he stood upon. As we bid farewell to our beloved Dale, we take solace in the knowledge that he is now resting in the glorious presence of his Lord and Savior. His life was a living sermon of the values he held dear, and though he has departed from our midst, his memory will forever dwell in the hearts of those who loved him. Let us find comfort in the words of Scripture, "Well done, good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy lord." (Matthew 25:21) Dale has indeed entered into that eternal joy, and for that, we are eternally grateful. May his soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Memorial Services for Dale will be held Saturday, July 27 at Silver Run Baptist Church from 9:00am-12:00pm.
