Albert Anthony Kibodeaux

April 24, 1958 — August 17, 2021

McHenry, MS

Albert Anthony Kibodeaux, 63 of McHenry, passed away Tuesday, August 17th at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport from complications due to covid. Born April 24, 1958 in Lake Charles, LA, he was the son of Albert and Bunny (Guidry) Kibodeaux. Growing up in Lake Charles, he became known to everyone by his nickname, "Gator". Even though his childhood was challenging, he made the most of it, the only way he knew how. As a young boy, there was a contest for a brand new bicycle where an essay had to be written describing what a father should be. Though his family was broken at that time, Gator wrote his essay and won that bicycle! Some twists and turns later in life, coupled with a few bad decisions, caused him to spend some time in reform school and beyond. Once Gator grew up though, he started himself a business polishing chrome and aluminum, mostly on the big rigs. He became quite accomplished at it, working all over the country at truck stops, car and truck shows and more. He met Missy in 2013 and theirs was a special connection of kindred spirits. They spent the last several years travelling around, cleaning and  polishing trucks or whatever needed a good shine. He is fondly remembered as a straight-forward person who told it just like it was, not known for sugar-coating anything. If you were lucky enough to earn his friendship, you had a true friend for certain. Gator was a bit rough around the edges and often misunderstood, but if you took the time to look beyond that "unpolished" exterior, you found a heart of pure gold. Honest, hard-working and trusted are just a couple of the words used to describe him. Gator will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents, Albert & Bunny Kibodeaux. Left to cherish his memories are: his only daughter, Lisa Cory of Ponchatula, LA, and his brother Aldawayne Kibodeaux of Galliano, LA, along with many extended family, friends and customers across the country. Gator's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A memorial service may be planned at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the Kibodeaux family through this difficult time. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayer during this difficult time.
