Alan Lewis Shelton

Alan Lewis Shelton, 39, of Jackson, MS passed away on December 2, 2022 in Lamar County. Alan was born on December 7, 1982 in Birmingham, AL to Vicki Gore. Alan was adopted at 2 years old to Ruth Ann and Russell Shelton. He was raised in Memphis, TN where he loved to collect baseball cards as a kid. Alan was also known to always be on the Nintendo as he was an avid video game player. Alan would go on to receive his GED and join the Army right out of high school. He would later be honorably discharged and become a chef at various restaurants for 12 years. Alan will be remembered fondly by all who knew and loved him. Alan is preceded by his father Russell Lewis Shelton; Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Ruth Ann Shelton; His siblings Joyce and Ryan (Megan) Shelton, Lori Bishop, and Amanda Thomas; His nieces Avery, Ella, and Kaitlyn Shelton; and His birth mother Vicki Gore.
