Lela Tamar Cameron 57, of Picayune passed away peacefully at home on Sunday July 22,2018 surrounded by her family, after a courageous 5 month battle with Cancer. Lela was a retired LPN after 22 years of working in the nursing field. She loved her family, friends and patients dearly. Lela was of the Baptist faith.
Lela loved cooking for the holidays and making her famous pecan pies. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Lela was preceded in death by her father Glendale Cameron; her son Daniel Fillingame; brother-n-laws Jerry Goellner and Ralph Piehet. Nephews: Navin Luckie, Wesley Barrett and Curtis(Bart)Cameron. She is Survived by her daughters Michelle Williamson of Petal and Amber Green of Picayune. Her mother Donnie Cameron of Picayune Two brothers:Rodney(Kathy) Cameron of Carnes Russell(Kimberly)Cameron of Mesa, AZ. Four Sisters, Lydia Goellner of Thibodaux, La. Lylia(Joel)Hemba of Hattiesburg, Libby Piehet and Lynde(Jeff) Luckie of Picayune: Six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish her memories are Norman Fillingame of Petal, close and personal friend and Father of her Children, and Denis Landry of Carriere.
