Stanley Dennis Luna

Stanley Dennis Luna, 56 of Terry, MS, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday May 14th. Pete, as he was known by most, was born October 12, 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee and moved with his family to Jackson in the early 1960’s. Pete enjoyed spending time with his wife Christy, whom he considered his best friend. He loved tinkering with anything mechanical and enjoyed the open road. Pete worked in various career fields including small engine repair, commercial driving, appliance repair and security services. Even as Pete’s health declined, he still persisted in helping his wife and children repair things and provide advice for anything he could. There was nothing that Pete couldn’t fix, he welcomed a challenge. He will be fondly remembered by all whos life he touched. Pete is survived by his wife Christy Luna of Terry, MS, his father Mel Luna of Flowood, MS, his sister Gina Luna of Byram, MS and his brother Matt Luna of The Hague, Netherlands; two sons, Christopher Luna of Vicksburg, MS and Tyler Luna of San Diego, CA, along with two grandchildren, Layla Luna and Cadence Luna. A casual, non formal celebration of life is planned for Saturday May 18th at 10am at Hillcrest Baptist Church, located at 5950 Terry Rd in Byram, MS. Friends and family are asked to park in the rear lot. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Pete's honor to a charitable cause that will help make the world a better place. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Luna family in their time of need, and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
