Stanley Butler Obituary

Stanley B Butler born to Lt. Col. Lloyd D. Butler and Jean Butler on December 21, 1949 passed away on September 9. He lived up to his saying: “Stay Strong”. His stubbornness did not end until his heart took its last beat Monday morning at Garden Park Medical Center.  Stanley lived in Gulfport. He had one sister, Patty (Butler) Sigler and four brothers: Dennis M Butler, Lee Butler, Mark S Butler, and David Doyle. He has left behind his “Sweetie”, Rhonda L Butler; who will miss her “My Stanley”, her biggest “pain in the butt”, more than words can express! Stanley was not only a father to Stacey (Joe) Rogers and Stan Jr., he was a stepDAD to Shana, Heather, Rebecca, and Chuck Jr. He always had words of wisdom to share; all you had to do was listen. He had many grandchildren and some great-grandchildren that adored him very much. Stan accomplished many things and took many adventures in his 69 years on Earth. He graduated from Gulfport High School. Worked on the oil rigs. Completed college. Joined the Pipe-fitters Union; he retired from Ray C Weaver. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed traveling whether by foot in his younger days (hitchhiking when hitchhiking was safe) to riding his motorcycle later in life. His love for his motorcycle and his desire to make a difference led to Stanley becoming the Founder of Southern Coast Riders M/A in 1997.  Chapel Service will be held at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 1:00 pm with Visitation to follow until 3:00 pm.  CMA Roy, President of the CMA Gulfport Chapter, will be officiating.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the family during this difficult time and ask that you keep them lifted up in prayer.   If you were lucky enough to know Stanley then you know he would help anyone without hesitation. He would want all his loved ones to raise some heck for him and celebrate his life so that is what we invite you to do.....
“Which way did they go?”
“How many of them were there?”
“How fast were they going?”
“I must find them!”
“I AM THEIR LEADER.”
