Robert Foster Dubose

Robert Foster Dubose, age 65, of Lumberton, passed away August 12, 2019 at Forest General Hospital.  He was born February 12, 1954 to Jake and Martha (Hartfield) Dubose.  Robert was blessed to be raised by Jake and bonus mom Johnie Dubose.  Some people will remember Robert for running the sawmill for over 20 years, others for the 2 acre garden he planted every year with plenty of lagniappe for neighbors and friends.  Most will remember him as a prankster, but all will remember what an amazing man he was.  It was often said that there wasn't a stranger that Robert didn't know or a smile he kept to himself.  Robert's children were the pride and joy of his life.  The legacy of Robert's kind spirit, love of outdoors, passion for helping others and zest for life will live on through them.  Robert will be missed but not forgotten.  He rejoins his wife Debbie Dubose, father Jake Dubose and mother Martha Cooper.  He leaves behind his children, Jessica (Johnathan "Red") Dubose-Prescott and Bobby Dubose; siblings David (Glenda) Dubose, Melanie (Michael) Thomas-Lott, Bobbie Molsbee and Sandra (Elbert) Dewese; step dad, E J Cooper and step mom, Johnie Dubose  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Trinity Funeral Services in Lumberton.  Chapel Service at 1:00 pm with visitation until 3:00 pm.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist Robert's family during this difficult time and asks that you keep him lifted up in prayer.
