Monica Marie (Diehl) McKay

Mrs. Monica Marie McKay, 27 of Wiggins, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 5th at her home in Wiggins. She was born March 17, 1992 in Florida, the daughter of Eric & Lyndie Sue Diehl. Monica was a loving wife and mother who died far sooner than expected. To some she was known as a friend but to us she was known as family, not just because she was married into it, but because we loved her as such. She could make you want to scream, cry, yell, and want to fight, but then come back and you would promise nothing had happened by how she was acting. When she smiled it was like it covered her whole face and made her face shine.  She showed her love in her own way a lot of times it was crazy or confusing. She was only 27 years old when she left this world and will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Monica was preceded by her mother, Lyndie Diehl. She leaves behind to cherish her memories: her loving husband Donald Alexander McKay, and their two children that God blessed her with, twins William Alexander & Nevaeh Alexandria McKay; her siblings Drake and Christina Diehl; aunts Janet Albury and Patricia Lattimer, along with many other extended family and friends. She was an active member of Across Calvary Outreach, and among her favorite passages of scripture were Romans 1:16 - "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes it, to the Jews first and also to the Greek.", and Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ  which strengthens me." A visitation will be held Wednesday morning, June 12th from 8:00 until 10:00 AM at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, followed by a memorial service at Dominion and Power Family Life Center on Central Avenue in Wiggins. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the McKay family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep Donald and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
