Mary Hallman Obituary

Ms. Mary Debra Hallman, 64 of Wiggins, passed away at her home Saturday morning, surrounded by her family. She was born November 2, 1954 in Pascagoula, the daughter of Albert "Neal" & Dorothy (Corley) Hester. Mary was one of sixteen children, growing up a Southern girl on the family farm, which was in the Indian Point area of Jackson county. There was always plenty to do, and Mary did her part. She met Joe in the early 70's, a soldier in the US Army, shortly after he returned from Vietnam. They were married, and made their home in his home town of Pascagoula, raising six boys of their own. A dedicated mother and family woman, Mary worked some in housekeeping at a local nursing home. She was a kind-hearted and very giving lady, until you crossed her! A loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed tv game shows, especially Family Feud with Steve Harvey and The Price is Right. Mary was also fond of internet games such as My Pearl Angel and others. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded by her parents, her loving husband, Joseph L. Hallman, two brothers, Albert & Timothy Hester, and her nephew, Justin Fuller. Left to cherish her memories are her six sons: Joseph (Amber) of Vancleave, and Thomas (Brandy), Daniel, Shannon, Shone, and Teddy Hallman, all of Wiggins; her siblings: sisters Catherine (Dee) Dossett, Jackie (Frankie) Vice, Donna (Marty) Laton, Ruth (Perry) Brown, Myrtis (James) Dorman, Cindy (Gregg) Heathcoe, Tamara (Doug) Thompson, and brothers Howard Hester, Tony (Rose) Hester, Jerry Hester, John Hester, Daniel Hester, and Lonnie (Mary) Hester; her eight grandchildren: Isaac, Thomas, Jr., Anthony, Skylar, Shone, Jr., Nataly (Marcquel) Kennedy, Contessa (Wesley) Bosarge, and Joshua Harmon, along with 2 great-grand children, and numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday morning, June 28th from 10 until 11 AM at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with her late husband, Joe, at 12:30 PM. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Hallman family in their time of need, and asks that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
