Larry Ladner Obituary

Larry Ladner, age 65, passed away in Gulfport on Saturday, September 28, 2019. He was born to R.B. and Marie (Logan) Ladner Sr., on Tuesday, January 5, 1954. If you are trying to remember if you ever met him- you didn't because you would remember. For those of you that did meet him, there's no doubt you made a friend for life. He was renowned for not holding back and telling it like it is. He never met a rule he couldn't break, a boundary he couldn't push, a line he couldn't cross and a story he couldn't stretch. Despite all of this there is actual evidence that he was a loving, giving and caring person. During his younger days he worked on a dairy farm before becoming a pipefitter. He called Ingalls his home away from home for over 30 years. He spent 32 years married to his first wife, Joyce, and together they had 3 children, but his grands were his heart. Larry's hobbies included looking for arrowheads at Grenada Lake, hunting and fishing. He would fish for anything that would bite a hook. No puddle of water was safe from his fishing line. He loved antique cars, going to flea markets but importantly spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Flossy (formerly known as Sophie)! In 2016, he married his best friend and caregiver, Wanda. Larry thought the world of his new bride and would have done anything for her. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved and still missed. Larry's memory will live on in our hearts forever. Waiting to meet him on the other side: his parents, R.B. and Marie Ladner Sr.; siblings, Elaine Cruise, Sara Scarborough, Floyd Ladner, Levoy Ladner, Charles Ladner, Shirley Ladner and R.B. Ladner, Jr. and his chihuahua, Jasmine. He leaves behind: his loving wife, Wanda; children, Stewart (Melissa) Ladner, Jeremy (Elena) Ladner and Angela Ladner; grandchildren, Brandon (Briaunna), Andrew, Tyler, Michele, Jordan, Kaleb and Nick; Great-Grand, Shilah, sisters, Nancy and Faye along with numerous step children, step grands and great grands, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced within the next couple of days. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to be entrusted with Mr. Larry's care and ask that you keep his family lifted up in your prayers during the coming days.
