Joseph Carnesi, Jr. Obituary

Joseph Peter Carnesi, Jr., 73 of the Silver Run community, passed away Monday morning at Canon Hospice in Gulfport. Joseph was born March 2, 1946 in New Orleans, the youngest of two children to Joseph P. & Anna (Falcone) Carnesi, Sr. He grew up in the Big Easy enjoying baseball and other outdoor activities. Joseph went through grade school at Our Lady Star of the Sea, St. Leo the Great, and McDonald #28, before going to diesel mechanic school at Delgado. Joseph loved fixing things and went to work as a mechanic, finding very little that he couldn't fix. In 1978, he met Wanda Lofton and they were married the following year. Together they owned and operated Carnesi Sales & Services, Inc. for several years. He also worked for Airline Restaurant Equipment and Home Depot in his career. Joseph was a charter member of the Endymion Carnival Club and so enjoyed being an active part of the club for many years. He is remembered as a "happy-go-lucky" guy that never seemed to have any worries. Always eager to help in any way he could, Joseph loved and spoiled Wanda for 40 years. A loving, caring brother and wonderful husband, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Joseph was preceded by his parents, Joseph & Anna Carnesi, Sr., and his brother-in-law, Michael Stott. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Wanda; his only sister, Joanna Stott; sister-in-law Colleen Cristinzio and brother-in-law Donato Cristinzio; his niece, Danielle Cristinzio, along with numerous other extended family and friends. Joseph's wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. A memorial service may be scheduled for a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve Ms. Wand in her time of need, and asks that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
