Gloria Ann Smith

Gloria Ann Smith, 76, passed away on October 3, 2019.  Mrs. Smith was born March 5, 1943 in New Orleans, LA to Guy and Ruby Laborde.  Gagga as her grandchildren called her, along with her husband Frank, owned and operated The Woods Steak House in Derby from 1982 to 2005.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Smith Sr.; her children, Tina Simon, Frank Jr., and Rodney Smith.  She leaves behind her two sisters; Lucy (Larry) Floyd, Janelle (Marty) Sylvia; son in law, John Simon; grandchildren; John Guy (Candice), Adam (Caycee), Miranda, Lainie, Willis Jay and Anna (Michael); great grandchildren; Caleb, Haven, Jacob, Kaz, Saylem, Mia and Kash, along with nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.  A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Derby Place Missionary Baptist Church.  Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Derby Place Cemetery.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Smith and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
