Ms. Glenda Ann Bates, 62, passed away after a brave battle on June 24, 2019 in Pass Christian. Glenda was born to Preston and Isabella St. Amant on December 31, 1956. Being the baby of 3, Glenda was spoiled rotten from the start. Even though as siblings they may have had their share of differences they always managed to stick together. But you see, Glenda spoiled everyone around her also. It wasn't Christmas unless she gave you something she crocheted. Her family has countless crocheted slipper socks in their drawers! She was just like that with an unconditional love that she shared with everyone. She was married to Luke Bates Sr for 26 years and together they had 3 amazing sons. Glenda worked for Hancock County School District in food service for 17 years. She retired in December 2018 only to be diagnosed with cancer a month later. She always had a blast going casino hopping with her sweetheart of 15 years, Colin Celino, whether she won or not she felt like a winner with him. She enjoyed life, family and friends and always there to brighten the lives of others. While Glenda may be gone in body, her memory will live on with us forever. She is preceded by her precious son, Joseph Bates; parents, Preston and Isabella St. Amant and nephew, Rusty Ladner. She leaves behind 2 sons, Stephen (Jennifer) and Luke (Ashley) Bates; companion, Colin Celino; grandchildren, Heaven, Preston, Gabriel, Bradyn, and Emma; her sister and care-giving, Lillian (Albert) Ladner; brother, Douglas (Dale) St. Amant; nephews, Wade (Mary) Ladner and Darren (Meg) St. Amant. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the family during this difficult time and ask that you keep them in your prayers.
