Ernie Joseph Lizana, Sr., The Man, The Myth, The Legend, age 69, of Pass Christian, passed away on October 12, 2019. He was born to Paul and Lucille (Cuevas) Lizana on July 22, 1950. Ernie wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors’ orders and raising hell. He fought a good fight for the ones he loved. He took fashion ques from no one. His signature look included a cut off shirt and dark sunglasses that he was known for wearing at night. He loved shooting flies with an air gun, vanilla milkshakes, cold Miller Lite, Copenhagen, fast cars and even faster women, not necessarily in that order! He hated hypocrites and daylight savings time, not necessarily in that order either. He offered true insight to almost any situation and if he disagreed, he would say “Now babe, that ain’t gonna work”. Ernie was known for many things, most we can’t mention, but we can still hear him saying, “One mo’”. Ernie was loved and will be missed beyond measure. His memory will stay deep in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Eddie Lizana and son, Ernie Jr. He is survived by daughters, Paula Ann and Danielle (Nathan McGuire) Lizana. His sister, Dorothy Beech and brothers, Paul (Faye) Woodcock, Ronnie (Kathy) and Carl (Lydia) Lizana. Grandchildren, Logan (Suzy), Amber (Donny), Kent aka Leroy (Savannah), Kammy (Charlie). Great Grandchildren, Caden, Jaelyn, LuLu, Bentley, Chandler, Daysen, Breeze and Nash along with tons of extended family and lifelong friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at Wolfe River Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to ride their bikes for one last ride with Ernie. Let thunder roar to Heaven!!! Trinity Funeral Services is honored to be entrusted to take care of Mr. Ernie and ask that you keep his family in your prayers.
