Cynthia Felicia Galloway

Cynthia Felicia Galloway, 54 of Wiggins, stepped into eternity Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her family. She was born January 15, 1965 in Wiggins, the daughter of Annie Marie Breland and the late Samuel Lee Galloway. Cynthia grew up in Wiggins and was a sweet and active tomboy that loved sports. Although she played softball, she excelled at basketball, playing at Stone High School and earning a scholarship to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where she played for two years. Many of her friends will know and remember her as "Lisa". She was a member of the SHS Class of 1983, and went to work at County Discount Drug after high school. A few years later, she went to Cofield Cabinets where she worked for several years and afterward for Ray Boggs Cabinets. She enjoyed cabinets so much that she opened LLG Custom Cabinets with her uncle, Rev. Leonard Galloway. Lisa was an easy-going woman, described as "cool" by those closest to her, although she was "all business" and a bit bossy when it came to work! She was an awesome mother, making sure her son had everything he needed growing up, including the discipline required along the way. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Lisa was preceded by her father, Samuel Lee Galloway, and her maternal grandmother, Alberta Breland. Left to cherish her memories are: her son, Kenna (Daina) Galloway of Wiggins; her mother and step-father, Merdis & Annie Marie Gray; siblings Ronie (Patricia) Galloway and Betty Gray, both of San Antonio, TX, Nekida "Poo-Pie", Brent, and Sammy Lee Galloway, Jr., Francis (Justin) Turner and Priscilla Jones, all of Wiggins; three grandchildren who she dearly loved: Keena Jr. and Keisyn Galloway and Kayden Mickens, along with a host of friends, neighbors, and extended family. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Monday morning, January 20th at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Wiggins. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, after which she will be laid to rest at New Welcome Hill Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Galloway family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
