Billy Watson Lester

Billy Watson Lester, 31 of Laurel, passed away Tuesday in Pearl, MS. Billy was born July 6, 1988 in Hattiesburg, the youngest of four children to Harvey L. and Pamela L. (Mitchell) Lester. He grew up in the Laurel area, and was to say the least, an outgoing and rambunctious young man. He played youth basketball, and was in the Big Brother program. Raised by his grandparents, J.W. and Diane Mitchell, Billy definitely had his share osf struggles in life. He loved to draw and was very gifted at it, drawing anything he wanted to. In spite of it all, he was loved, and will be sadly missed by all who truly knew him. Left to cherish his memories are: his father Harvey Lester, Sr.; his mother Pam Jordan, one sister Crystal (Kenny) Harvey, and a brother James Mitchell, III, all of Laurel; his brother Harvey Lester, Jr. of Gulfport, along with numerous extended family and friends. Billy's wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. They will set a memorial service at a later date.
