Belen Butler, age 73, of Saucier passed away September 22, 2019 in Gulfport. She was born in Texas to Hilario and Rosa Garcia on February 18, 1946. Belen was a God fearing, prayerful lady with a kind heart. Her family and friends will fondly remember her goofy, eccentric and caring spirit. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, adult coloring books and fishing. She had a knack for cooking, getting ideas from the Food Network and having get-togethers. Everyone will remember Belen’s favorite quotes as “God Bless You”, “Thank You Jesus” and “This is just about the best thing I ever ate”. Though Belen is gone, her memory will live on through all the great times we had with her. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Orange Grove Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Butler Jr.; parents; an infant son, Jonathan; nephew, Larry Garcia and siblings, Margarito Garcia, Andrea Garcia, Petra Juarez. She is survived by Juan (Genie) Rivera "like" a son to her; sibling, Pedro Garcia; grandchildren, Dwayne and Johnathan; nieces and nephews, Fidela, Lydia, Pete Jr., Theresa, Eddie and Jose and many more in Texas and Washington State. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
