Linda Kaye Gontner, 61 of Biloxi, passed away on April 07, 2024 at Merit Health Hospital in Biloxi. She was born on November 30, 1962 in Gulfport, one of nine children and daughter of David Lee and Dorothy Dean (Jordan) Gontner. Linda grew up in Biloxi, and called South Mississippi home her entire life. She is remembered as a great person who loved her family and animals. Linda enjoyed visiting and dining at the casinos on the coast. Though she had no biological children, Linda was mother to several along the way. Her heart was as big as they come and she took great care of all those she loved. That went right along with her demeanor, which was as sweet as they come. She loved to draw and color, spending hours on some of the most intricate coloring books and designs, a hobby she shared Wanda, one of her best friends who she cared for as her own. Linda has an affinity for diet coke and literally couldn't sleep if there wasn't some in the house! She had her ways, but for all she was in life, her memories will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded by her mother Dorothy Malam, and her father David Gontner; and her brothers: Raymond Smith, Hardy Reece, and Bo Wilson and her four-pawed little chihuahua, "Babe". Left to cherish her memories are: the one and only love and companion she had for over forty years, Ollie "Bubby" Lamey; her siblings: Judy Gibbs of IL, Sandra Greenlee of Vancleave, Betty Du Cre' of FL, and Marie Nickoles and Darlene Reece, both of Gulfport; and her best friends and caregivers: carmen Rogers, Anna Heavner, and Wanda Lamey, along with numerous extended family members and many friends through the years. Linda's final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. A celebration of her life is being planned for a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Gontner family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
