Jolynn Harper, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully on April 19, 2024, in Laurel, Mississippi, at the age of 66. A native Floridian born on December 2, 1957, Jolynn's love and laughter brought joy to all who knew her.
Jolynn's spirit and resilience were mirrored in her career as a truck driver. For years, she proudly navigated the roads in her 18-wheeler, hauling freight across the country. The open road was her companion, but her heart was always with her family. Jolynn beamed with pride as a great grandmother of seven, a role she treasured above all. An avid decorator with a passion for all things Parisian, Jolynn also possessed an unwavering love for animals, always ready to care for or rehome any creature in need. Her fur baby of 14 years, Hercules, was among her dearest companions.
Jolynn Harper's zest for life and generous spirit will live on in the memories of those she has left behind. Her story is one of love, dedication, and the everlasting bonds she formed throughout her journey.
She is preceded by her parents, David Burney and Carolyn Burney, as well as her sisters Zometa Lopez and Tammy Burney. Left to honor Jolynn's memory are the father of her boys, David White Sr, her devoted sons David (Ronja) White Jr, and Jason White. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Justin and Heather Hicks, Tyler and Malerie Brady, and her cherished siblings Stanley, David, Chrissy, and Krysta Burney; her 7 Great grandchildren and dearest companion Hercules. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Harper family in their time of need and we ask you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
